This season, celebrities are embracing a fresh, natural makeup look. This look can
be yours, too, with a minimum of effort.
The most important step is the very first one: to prepare your face by cleansing
and moisturizing with products appropriate for your skin type. Next, the key with
makeup is to "keep it simple." Your focus should be on three main areas - color
for eyes, cheeks and lips. Using the right products, applying them with a light
touch and blending carefully, you can achieve makeup-artist results in five simple
steps.
Step 1.
Begin by cleansing, then toning your face. A good choice is Swisscare by Givenchy
Regulating Cleansing Gel and Skin Toner. Next, moisturizefor a change, we like the
light scent of Versace's Time For Pleasure Multi-Vitamin Hydrating Face Gel. Apply
a thin layer of foundation using a brush or sponge (we prefer brushes). If you don't
need very much coverage, simply use a small amount of tinted moisturizer.
Step 2.
Using a concealer one shade lighter than your foundation, apply it with a brush
to the under-eye area and to any uneven skin color. Gently blend in with your fingertips.
Then, to set the base, lightly apply a translucent powder over your face.
Step 3.
Using a neutral colored cream eye shadow, smooth with your fingertip over your entire
lid. Make sure you apply right along the lash line. Blend the color with an upward
motion to creating a smooth and natural look. Then apply a slightly darker shade
of powder eye shadow to your under-eye area. Smooth it to make it very light using
a brush. Finish with a layer of mascara to your top and bottom lashes. Use a white
eye pencil on the inside of your bottom lid if you want to make your eyes look brighter
and larger.
Step 4.
Apply a moist fresh cream blush, like J.Lo's Pink Blush. Blending well, lightly
apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. Blend until a beautiful glow is achieved.
Step 5.
Use a pink glossy finish on your lips. J.Lo's Pearl Gloss works well. Carefully
paint and smooth well with a brush.
